Frequently Asked Questions

My dress is not too dirty, should I get it cleaned?

While you may feel as though your wedding dress is in good enough condition, you need to think that you will store it for a great number of years. Small stains that don’t look too bad now but are left untreated can seep into the fabric so much that they become embedded, which then means that they are permanent marks. There is also the fact that some marks, which may appear invisible or hard to see at first, will become more noticeable at times so having your dress properly cleaned will provide you with confidence that your dress will be clean for a long time.

Can any dress be cleaned?

We are proud to say we offer a range of cleaning processes which gives us a strong chance of being able to clean your dress. We utilise different techniques, products, machines and solvents to ensure your dress is properly looked after. However, there may be certain marks or stains that may be unable to be properly dry cleaned. If this is the case, we will inform you and provide a refund.

Are the additional decorations of my dress at risk?

Many wedding dresses have additional flourishes like jewellery, sequins, flowers and trims, all of which can possess problems in the cleaning process.

We aim to strengthen any stitching that may be loose and if parts and accessories can be removed, we will do so before cleaning and then reattach to your dress. We also carry out tests on attachments, sequins and beads to make sure that they can be properly cleaned.

Can you repair my wedding dress while you have it for cleaning?

If you have a tear or a seam that has come apart, then we can repair that whilst we have it in our possession. Contact us beforehand to ensure we have the appropriate details.
